Scarlett walked through the tall grass in the field. Her indigo eyes were clouded with dreams and she had no idea where she really was. In her own mind she was floating in the ocean, letting waves of deep blue rock her back and forth. Taking her to a place where no pain existed, and life was full of wonders. Her feet dragged with a soft sound, where sneakers marked the dirt. The grass pulled at her skirt and tickled her thighs. The sun beat down on her exposed shoulders and back, that were not saved by her baby blue halter top. The soft breeze tugged at her black hair in it's loose ponytail that rested on her shoulders. A little grin graced her smooth face.
This was a nice place, nothing to bother her. It was all quiet, except for the occasional chatter of birds. The breeze the swayed the tall grass gave a sort of life to her imagination of rolling blue waves, that tugged at her body and moved it at will. Even as she walked up the hill, there was nobody in her sight that could bother her. Everything was perfect...until she tripped. The rock snagged her foot and yanked her from her dream of bliss. With a small yelp she went tumbling down, the grass flattening under her. With nothing to grab onto scarlett when rolling down, rocks sliced and bruised her skin. Prickers snagged her clothes and dug into her skin.
When Scarlett hit the bottom her world was spinning. She couldn't grasp onto her reality, and a small cut under her eye gave the impression she was crying blood. Blood that was the same color as her name. Her cheek, arms, and legs were all bruised. Small cuts graced her body, and prickers stuck to her. She gave a small groan, but the only thing on her mind was how she would explain this at work.
